64. Exchange of Fire Protection and Rescue Services-Automatic Aid/Initial\nAction Agreement\nRecommendation: Acting as the Governing Body of the Consolidated Fire\nProtection District (District), authorize the Fire Chief to execute an exchange of\nfire protection and rescue services-automatic aid/initial action agreement\nbetween the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCFPD) and the\nDistrict (1 and 5), to allow the two agencies to provide reciprocal assistance\nbased upon station proximity to an emergency incident regardless of\njurisdictional boundaries, and to authorize the respective Fire Chiefs to enter\ninto a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as a guide for day-to-day\noperations between the SBCFPD and the District, and modify the MOU as\nchanges in conditions occur; authorize the Fire Chief to enter into similar\nagreements and execute future amendments, suspensions, or termination if\ndeemed necessary, including the extensions and contingencies as described\nabove, respectively, in accordance with the approved contract terms and\nconditions; and find that this agreement is exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act.
