AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH INFINITY TECHNOLOGIES FOR\nINFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) MANAGEMENT SERVICES\nSummary:\nIn December 2022, the City of Signal Hill entered into a Professional Services\nAgreement with Infinity Technologies to administer the City’s computer,\ntechnology, and cybersecurity needs. Infinity Technologies’ day-to-day duties\ninclude safeguarding the City’s computer networks, upgrading devices, and\nproviding help desk service to employees. The current contract provides the City\nwith 32 hours of support per week (totaling 4 days) at a rate of $14,980 per\nmonth, or $179,760 per year. Throughout the term of the agreement, staff has\ncontinued evaluating the City’s technological needs. Infinity Technologies has\nhelped the City modernize its IT infrastructure by deploying new technology to\nincrease cybersecurity, enhancing the City’s server infrastructure, and\nimplementing a new phone system. Infinity Technologies also supported the\nPolice Department by upgrading the radio system, body worn cameras, and\nin-car Police vehicle computers. After two years of service and based on the\nCity’s evolving needs and operational experience, staff recommends an\nincrease to the annual contract amount. The proposed adjustment would reflect\nan increase in service levels to 40 hours (5 days per week) and extend the\ncontract term through December 1, 2028. The proposed adjustment would\nincrease the annual contract by $42,240, bringing the total to $222,000 per year.\nStrategic Plan Goal(s):\nGoal No. 4: Infrastructure: Maintain and improve the City’s physical\ninfrastructure, water system, and recreational spaces.\nGoal No. 5: High-Functioning Government: Strengthen internal communication,\nrecruitment, retention, systems, and processes to increase the\neffectiveness and efficiency of City services.\nRecommendations:\n1. Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute the First Amendment to\nthe agreement with Infinity Technologies increasing the base rate to $222,000\nper year and extending the Contract term to December 1, 2028, with an\neffective date of November 1, 2024.\n2. Adopt a resolution, entitled:\nA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA,\nAMENDING THE ADOPTED BUDGET AND AUTHORIZING BUDGET\nAPPROPRIATIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-25.
