Support for Governor Gavin Newsom’s Expansion of the California Film\nand Television Tax Credit Program\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Barger and Horvath: Direct the\nChief Executive Officer, through the Legislative Affairs and Intergovernmental\nRelations Branch, to support Governor Gavin Newsom’s proposal to expand the\nCalifornia Film and Television Tax Credit Program from $330,000,000 to\n$750,000,000; and instruct the Director of Economic Opportunity to partner with\nthe City of Los Angeles and Mayor Karen Bass’ Entertainment Industry Council\nto identify best practices and opportunities for the County to implement,\nincluding all 88 cities, continuing to attend all upcoming Entertainment Industry\nCouncil meetings as an observer, and report back to the Board in writing in 60\ndays.
