26. Department of Public Social Services Lease\nRecommendation: Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute a proposed\nlease with Glenoaks Business Park, a California limited partnership, for\napproximately 26,688 sq ft of office space and 82 on-site parking spaces\nlocated at 9188 Glenoaks Boulevard in the City of Sun Valley (5), to be\noccupied by the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS), with an\nestimated maximum first year base rental amount of $635,000, a one-month\nrent abatement of approximately $53,000 will equal $582,000, and an estimated\ntotal proposed lease amount, including electricity, water, sewer, and janitorial\ncosts of $8,904,000 over the nine-year term, the rental costs will be 80.11 %\nfunded by State and Federal funds and 19.89% by Net County Cost (NCC) that\nis already included in DPSS’ existing budget, DPSS will not be requesting\nadditional NCC; authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute any other\nancillary documentation necessary to effectuate the proposed lease, and take\nactions necessary and appropriate to implement the proposed lease including,\nwithout limitation, exercising any early termination rights; and find that the\nproposed lease is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.\n(24-4864)
