3.\nAcquisition of Specialized Firearms for SWAT Operations\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Approve the acquisition of ten (10) Daniel Defense DDM4v7 select-fire rifles and associated\ntactical accessories for SWAT operations at a total cost of $45,824.46; and\n2. Authorize the Director of Finance to make the appropriation and necessary budget adjustment\nusing the Federal Asset Forfeiture Fund (Fund #205) for this purchase; and\n3. Authorize the Chief of Police to execute the purchase upon Council approval and complete all\nnecessary procurement documentation.

4.\nAuthorize Award of Contract to FS Contractors, Inc. to Construct Block Walls at Ana\nMontenegro Park\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Approve and award the construction contract to construct block walls at Ana Montenegro Park\nto FS Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $105,775.00; and\n2. Approve a 10% construction contingency in the amount of $10,577.00 for the project; and\n3. Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the contract with FS Contractors, Inc.; and\n4. Authorize the Director of Finance to make appropriations and budget adjustments to cover the\nawarded contract amount plus the contingency, and set up necessary account numbers.

5.\nAuthorization to Publish a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Citywide Landscape Maintenance\nServices\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Authorize Staff to publish a Request for Proposal for Professional Landscape Maintenance\nServices to commence in May 2026.; and\n2. Continue with the current landscape vendor to maintain existing contract sites until a new\ncontract is awarded (the City is currently negotiating the CIP increase).; and\n3. 6.\nHonorary Memorial Sign for Officer Sam Riveros\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider and approve initiation of the following options to\nhonor Officer Sam Riveros:\n1. Install the memorial sign designation at the 4200 block of Filhurst Avenue as "Officer Sam\nRiveros Way"; or\n2. Install the memorial sign designation at Bogart Avenue as "Officer Sam Riveros Way."; or\n3. Rename a portion of Bogart Avenue as "Officer Sam Riveros Way."\nOnce selection is made\n1. Authorize the installation of Memorial Street signs at the selected location; and\n2. Direct staff to coordinate with appropriate City departments to complete the installation and\nplan a dedication ceremony;\n3. Authorize the Director of Finance to make the necessary appropriation and budget adjustments\nwithin the Public Works existing resources.
