APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT (SIDE LETTER) TO THE MEMORANDUM OF\nUNDERSTANDING (MOU) WITH THE BARSTOW PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS'\nASSOCIATION - UNIT 5\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the Barstow Fire Protection District’s Board take the following action:\n1. Approve the Amendment to the 2022-2025 Memorandum of Understanding (side letter)\nbetween the Barstow Fire Protection District (BFPD) and the Barstow Professional\nFirefighters’ Association (BPFA) – Unit 5 pertaining to Article 29 – Skill Pay and the increase\nof paramedic certification pay increasing from $575/month to $1,000/month.

Approval/Adoption of the Engineering and Traffic Survey for Speed Limits prepared by KOA\nCorporation in accordance with the Local Roads and Safety Program.

ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BARSTOW\nRECEIVING PARK CLOSURE REPORT FOR THE MIDWAY MOBILE HOME PARK (24644\nMAIN STREET), APPROVING PARK CLOSURE, AND FINDING CEQA EXEMPTION (CAL.\nCODE REGS. 15301, 15304, AND 15061(B)(3)).\nRecommended Action:\nIt is recommended by staff that the city council hold the public hearing on this matter, receive the\nclosure impact report, and approve the attached Resolution _____ making the necessary\nfindings.

This action will allow the project to proceed without delay and ensure\ncompletion as planned.
