APPROVAL OF ANIMAL SHELTERING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF BARSTOW\nAND THE BARSTOW HUMANE SOCIETY\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council approve the proposed Animal Sheltering Services\nAgreement and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement.\nAttachments:\n1. ADMINISTRATION OF OATH OF OFFICE TO NEWLY ELECTED OFFICIALS (CITY COUNCIL\nAND BARSTOW FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT BOARD)\nRecommended Action:\nAdminister the Oath of Office to the newly elected officials for the City Council and Barstow Fire\nProtection District Board. AMENDMENT #2 TO THE FY 2024-2025 PUBLICLY AVAILABLE PAY SCHEDULE (PAPS)\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. _____-2024 approving the\namended publicly available pay schedule (PAPS) (Attachment A) for FY 2024-2025 with an\neffective date of December 22, 2024.

8. FY2025/26 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) ALLOCATION FOR\nPROJECTS\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends the City Council take the following actions:\n1. Per CDBG policy, the City Council selects the construction project and amount to be awarded.\n2. Per CDBG Policy, City Council selects public service project(s) and amounts to be awarded\n(Maximum of five (5) projects).\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary forms.\n4. 9. REJECTION OF BID- HVAC SYSTEM AT THE CORA HARPER COMMUNITY CENTER\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council take the following actions:\n1. Formally reject the bid submitted by Ely Company Inc.\n2. Authorize City Staff to re-bid the project.\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary documentation to facilitate this process.
