Adopt ordinance to improve code clarity, implement direction regarding fence and wall\npermit requirements, improve pool barrier requirements, revise language to better align with\ncurrent state and federal requirements, and provide tools for abatement of dangerous\nbuildings entitled: “An Ordinance of the City of Chino Hills, Amending Chapters 15.04,\n15.12, and 15.18 of Title 15 of the Chino Hills Municipal Code” (Introduced April 9, 2024)

Accept Senate Bill (SB) 1383 Local Assistance Grant Award in amount of $207,619; adopt\nbudget amendment resolution for Fiscal Year 2023-24 increasing budget in Miscellaneous\nGrant Fund by $207,619 for CalRecycle grant; find that exception to competitive bidding\nprocedures under Chino Hills Municipal Code (CHMC) Section 3.16.110.G applies because\nFinn Roadway Maintenance has existing contract through Sourcewell, and procurement\nprocess utilized by entity is substantially similar to provisions of CHMC Chapter 3.16 -\nPurchasing System; authorize issuance of purchase order to Clairemont Equipment\nCompany, an authorized Finn dealership utilizing Contract #070821-FNN, in amount of\n$160,767.45 for purchase of MBH6 Material Blower Trailer to lay organic material in large\nquantities to meet\nSB 1383 procurement goals and find acceptance of grant and purchase exempt from review\nunder California Environmental Quality Act

12. Authorize execution of Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. A2022-152 with Katherine\nAbrego Cortines dba Studio K Dance Center, LLC to correct contract language in Section\n2.1 Compensation to add word "annual" to total not-to-exceed statement for recreational\ndance classes

13. Authorize execution of Amendment No. 2 to Property Transfer and General City Facilities\nDevelopment Impact Fee Payment Agreement No. A2021-004 to shift responsibility for\npayment of costs associated with land use and approvals from Chino Valley Fire District to\nCity and adopt budget amendment resolution for Fiscal Year 2023-24 increasing Community\nFacilities District 9 Fund Budget by $180,000 for land use and approval costs associated\nwith construction of Fire Station 68

14. Award contract to Anderson Air Conditioning, L.P. in amount of $928,848 for City Hall HVAC\nReplacement Project; authorize City Manager, at his discretion, to approve cumulative\nchange orders up to ten percent ($92,885) of awarded contract amount; and determine\nproject exempt from review under California Environmental Quality Act

15. Adopt resolution approving design and plans for construction of Soquel Canyon Parkway\nPavement Rehabilitation - Phase 2 Project for rehabilitating Soquel Canyon Parkway\nbetween Pomona Rincon Road and north City Limit (north of Fairfield Ranch Road);\nauthorize staff to solicit bids for construction; and determine project exempt from review\nunder California Environmental Quality Act\nITEMS INITIATED BY COUNCIL

Design Review No. 502 - 1074 Spring Oak Way, Abid Khan, on behalf of the property owner,\nAntoine Lattouf, applicant: The Planning Commission adopted a resolution approving\nDesign Review No. 502 for the construction of a 4,084 square foot, single-family residence\nwith an attached 725-square foot, three-car garage and determining project exempt from\nreview under California Environmental Quality Act, subject to Conditions of Approval\nPUBLIC HEARING - This portion of the City Council Agenda is for all matters that legally require an\nopportunity for public input.
