PLANNING AND LAND USE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE REPORT DATED OCTOBER 12, 2023 Recommendation for Council action: INSTRUCT the City Administrative Officer (CAO), in consultation with the Board of Public Works (Climate Emergency Mobilization Office), to prepare a report with recommendations as to the cost estimates included in the Department of City Planning (DCP) report dated April 26, 2023, attached to the Council file, relative to a Climate Action and Adaptation Plan; and, the availability of State (or Federal) grant funds, as indicated in the DCP report. AMENDING MOTION 25A (KREKORIAN – PARK) DATED OCTOBER 20, 2023 Recommendation for Council action: INSTRUCT the Board of Public Works (Climate Emergency Mobilization Office) and CAO to include in this report an analysis of adopting a Climate Action and Adaptation Plan into the City’s General Plan, including benefits, costs, drawbacks, and potential alternatives. (10) 22-0159 PERSONNEL, AUDITS, AND HIRING COMMITTEE REPORT relative to the status of the Targeted Local Hire (TLH) and Bridge to Jobs (Bridge) Programs.  Recommendations for Council action: NOTE and FILE the October 18, 2023 Personnel Department report relative to TLH and Bridge Programs, inasmuch as this report is for information only and no Council action is required. INSTRUCT the Personnel Department to include in future reports for this Council File an analysis of one-day hiring events with said report to include: Details on successful one-day hiring events to include “lessons learned” both in terms of the administrative and recruiting aspects. Details as to the number of successful hires from one-day hiring events. Details in one-day hiring events scheduled in the future. (Bond No. C-144489) Owner: WH Valley Villas 58, LLC; Surveyor: Shereef Surur Fiscal Impact Statement: The City Engineer reports that the subdivider has paid a fee of $9,064 for the processing of this final tract map pursuant to Section 19.02(A) (2) of the Los Angeles Municipal Code.
