1. TRAFFIC AND SAFETY COMMISSION MEETING - SEPTEMBER 23, 2024\nRECOMMENDATION: Approve said minutes as written.

10. RED CURB INSTALLATION AT 600 S MAPLE AVENUE\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Traffic and Safety Commission:\n1. Approve installation of red curbs on the east side of Maple Avenue along the Heart of Compassion\nDistribution Food Bank facility frontage as shown in Attachment C; and\n2. Approve the loss of seven street parking spaces.

13. At the October 23, 2024 City Council meeting, the City approved a letter of engagement with KOA\nCorporation to enhance the design of three existing signalized intersections that are part of the First Mile\nLast Mile Plan. The three intersections will be: Beverly Boulevard & Maple Avenue, Whittier Boulevard &\nGarfield Avenue, and Whittier Boulevard & Montebello Boulevard. The Transit Department conducted a\nPage 5 of 5\npublic presentation and discussed high visibility crosswalks, median refuge islands, bicycle/ pedestrian-\nfriendly signal timing, reflective border on signal heads, etc.\nCOMMISSION/COMMITTEE ORALS\nMember announcements; requests for future agenda items; conference/meetings reports.

2. CONCOURSE AVENUE AND MADISON AVENUE QUICK-BUILD ROUNDABOUT\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Traffic & Safety Commission:\n1. Approve installation of a quick-build roundabout project, as shown in Attachment C, at Concourse Avenue\nand Madison Avenue, subject to community outreach.

3. VIA PASEO AND WILCOX AVENUE EASTBOUND RIGHT-TURN ONLY\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Traffic & Safety Commission:\n1. Approve the implementation of a right-turn-only restriction for eastbound traffic at the intersection of Via\nPaseo and Wilcox Avenue, as shown in Attachment C.

4. 203 S. 5TH STREET BLUE CURB APPLICATION\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Traffic & Safety Commission:\n1. Approve the request for the installation of Disabled Parking space at 203 S. 5th Street as shown in\nAttachment C.

Approve the installation of red curbs on all approaches at the intersection of 6th Street and Mines Avenue\nto allow for clear visibility for pedestrians walking on the crosswalk as shown in Attachment C; and\n2. Approve the loss of two street parking spaces.
