At the October 23, 2024 City Council meeting, the City approved a letter of engagement with KOA\nCorporation to enhance the design of three existing signalized intersections that are part of the First Mile\nLast Mile Plan. The three intersections will be: Beverly Boulevard & Maple Avenue, Whittier Boulevard &\nGarfield Avenue, and Whittier Boulevard & Montebello Boulevard. The Transit Department conducted a\nPage 5 of 5\npublic presentation and discussed high visibility crosswalks, median refuge islands, bicycle/ pedestrian-\nfriendly signal timing, reflective border on signal heads, etc.\nCOMMISSION/COMMITTEE ORALS\nMember announcements; requests for future agenda items; conference/meetings reports.
