CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO ADOPT ORDINANCES ESTABLISHING\nWATER AND WASTEWATER (SEWER) RATES\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n(1) Opening the public hearing;\n(2) Receiving all written and verbal testimony regarding the proposed rate increases;\n(3) Determining whether there is a majority protest against the proposed rate increases;\n(4) If no majority protest exists, that the City Council introduce and waive first reading of\nOrdinance No. – Setting the amount of Water Rates and Charges (Attachment 1);\n(5) If no majority protest exists, that the City Council introduce and waive first reading of\nOrdinance No. – Setting the amount of Wastewater (Sewer) Rates and Charges\n(Attachment 2); and\n(6) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTEREY PARK,\nCALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE MONTH OF DECEMBER 2023 AS HUMAN RIGHTS\nMONTH IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNITED NATION’S\nUNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS (Requested by Mayor Sanchez)\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n(1) Adopting a Resolution declaring the month of December 2023 as Human Rights Month in\ncommemoration of the 75th anniversary of the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of\nHuman Rights; and\n(2) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.
