SUBJECT: AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE PHASE 2 CONSTRUCTION OF THE\nDUNLAP BOULEVARD BRIDGE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT PROJECT AT\nWILSON CREEK CHANNEL – PROJECT NO. 11098\nRECOMMENDATION: That the City Council:\n1. Award and authorize the Mayor to execute a contract, and the City Manager or his\ndesignee to administer the terms of the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, IE\nGeneral Engineering Inc. of Beaumont, CA in the amount of $2,098,054 for the\nPhase 2 Construction of the Dunlap Boulevard Bridge Removal and Replacement\nProject at Wilson Creek Channel – Project No. 11098; and\n2. Authorize a construction contract contingency amount of $275,000 for the project,\nthe amount of $175,000 for construction contract administration, inspection,\ntesting, survey and staff time for a total construction contract budget in the amount\nof $2,548,054; and\n3. Approve Amendment No. 5 to the contract with Dudek in the amount of $30,000\nfor construction engineering and design support services for this project; and\n4. Approve the plans and specifications prepared for the project.
