Adoption of the 2025 California Building Codes published by the International Code\nCouncil\nRecommendation:\n• That the Town Council adopts Resolution 25-XX, making express findings and\ndeterminations that modifications to the 2025 California Building Standards\nCode are reasonably necessary because of local climatic, geological or\ntopographical conditions.\n• That the Town Council introduce the Ordinance, amending Title 8 of the\nTown of Yucca Valley Municipal Code by the addition of Chapter 8.02.115,\nand 8.02.125 amending Chapters 8.02.010, 8.02.020, 8.02.030, 8.02.040,\n8.02.050, 8.02.060, 8.02.070, 8.02.080, 8.02.090, 8.02.110, AND 8.02.120,\nadopting as modified the 2025 Edition of the California Building Code\nCoumes 1, 2 including the Appendex and Standards, the 2025 Edition of the\nCalifornia Electrical Code, the 2025 Edition of the California Plumbing Code,\nthe 2025 Edition of the California Mechanical Code, the 2025 Edition of the\nGreen Building Code, the 2025 Edition of the California Residential Code, the\n2025 Edition California Energy Code, the 2025 Edition of the California Fire\nCode, The 2025 Edition of the California Wildland Urban Interface Code, and\nadopting other regulations relating to building requirements;\n• And sets the matter for public hearing and Ordinance adoption at the Town\nCouncil meeting of November 4, 2025.
