Approve the Engineered Specifications prepared by NV5 Inc. for the FY\n2023-24 Residential Streets Slurry Seal Project; and\n2. Approve a Public Works Agreement with Roy Allan Slurry Seal, Inc., for the\nFY 2023-24 Street Rehabilitation Project in the amount of $1,651,276.27;\nand\n3. Reject all other bids received and authorize return of the bid bonds; and\n4 Authorize the City Administrator to approve contract change orders up to ten\npercent (10%) of the contract amount, or $165,127.63, for a total\nconstruction contract not-to-exceed amount of $1,816,403.90; and\n5. Approve a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Anaheim for the\nconstruction cost for Anaheim’s fair share of roadway rehabilitation project\nthat is estimated to be $10,000, with the final cost to be based at actual\nconstruction completion; and\n6. Approve a purchase order with Bowman Company to provide construction\ninspection and material testing services for a not-to-exceed amount of\n$80,000; and\n7. Adopt Resolution No. R-2024-73, A Resolution of the City Council of the City\nof Placentia, California authorizing a budget amendment in Fiscal Year 2024-\n25 in compliance with City Charter of the City of Placentia §§1206 and 1209\npertaining to appropriations for actual expenditures; and\n8. Authorize the City Administrator and/or his designee to execute all\nnecessary documents, in a form approved by the City Attorney.\nAs an alternate recommendation City Council may take the following actions:\n1. Approve the Engineered Specifications prepared by NV5 Inc. for the FY\n2023-24 Residential Streets Slurry Seal Project; and\n2. Reject all bids received for the FY 2023-24 Arterial Street Rehabilitation\nProject; and\n3. Approve a Public Works Agreement with Roy Allan Slurry Seal, Inc., for the\nFY 2023-24 Residential Streets Slurry Seal Project in the amount of\n$2,289,383.17; and\n4 Reject all other bids received and authorize return of the bid bonds; and\n5. Authorize the City Administrator to approve contract change orders up to ten\npercent (10%) of the contract amount, or $228,938.32, for a total\nconstruction contract not-to-exceed amount of $2,518,321.49; and\n6. Approve a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Anaheim for the\nconstruction cost of Anaheim’s fair share of roadway rehabilitation that is\nestimated to be $10,000, with the final cost to be based at actual\nconstruction completion; and\n7. Approve a purchase order with Bowman Company to provide construction\ninspection and material testing services for a not-to-exceed amount of\n$80,000; and\n8.
