Town Project No. 5005 –: Yucca Valley Senior Center Modernization Phase 2\nProject - Budget Amendment, Award of Bid to SPEC Construction Company, Inc.\nRecommendation:\nThat the Town Council:\n· Adopts Resolution No 24-xx, amending the FY 2024/2025 Special\nRevenue Funds Budget, for a total project budget of $3,000,000\nby appropriating $1,200,000 from SRF 2022 Debt Service Fund\n222 and $407,000 from Capital Project Reserve Fund 800 as\nidentified in Exhibit A.\n· Approves the award of a construction contract with SPEC\nConstruction Company, Inc., in the amount of $2,173,000 to\nconstruct the Yucca Valley Senior Center Modernization Phase 2\nProject.\n· Authorizes construction, construction contingency in the amount\nof $220,000, and inspection costs in the total amount of\n$2,443,000.\n· Approves the purchase of a DIRT wall system in the amount of\n$68,055.03 and office furniture in the amount of $39,604.74\nfrom G/M Business Interiors.\n· Authorizes the Mayor, Town Manager, and Town Attorney to\nexecute the agreement, and authorizes the Town Manager to\nexpend the contingency funds, if necessary, for project\ncompletion.\nA RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YUCCA\nVALLEY, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING FY 2024-25 SPECIAL REVENUE FUND\nBUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $1,200,000 FROM 2022 DEBT SERVICE\nFUND 800 and $407,000 FROM CAPITAL PROJECT RESERVE FUND 800 BY\nTRANSFERRING THOSE FUNDS TO ARPA FUND 574 FOR PROJECT NO.\n5005, YUCCA VALLEY SENIOR CENTER MODERNIZATION PHASE 2\nPROJECT, FOR A TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET AMOUNT OF $3,200,000.
