12. City Council: Staff recommends that the City Council take the following 24-397\nactions related to RE:BEACH Oceanside Pilot Project\nSiting:\n1) Receive information about the multi-criteria siting\nanalysis and associated public outreach, and concur with\nstaff’s recommendation to select Segment 1, along and\nseaward of The Strand between Tyson Street Park and\nWisconsin Avenue, as the RE:BEACH pilot project location.\n2) Authorize staff to proceed with final design, engineering\nand environmental compliance tasks, with the Phase 2\nSand Nourishment and Retention Pilot Project sited in\nSegment 1.\nA) Report by Jayme Timberlake, Coastal Zone Administrator\nB) Discussion\nC) Recommendation – Select Segment 1 and authorize staff to proceed with\nfinal design and permitting\n6:00 P.M.\nPUBLIC HEARING ITEMS\nPublic hearing items are “time-certain” and are heard beginning at 6:00 p.m. Due to the time-certain\nrequirement, other items may be taken out of order on the agenda to accommodate the 6:00 p.m. public\nhearing schedule.\nNone.\nPUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS ON OFF-AGENDA ITEMS\nNo action will be taken by the City Council/HDB/CDC/OPFA on matters in this category unless it is\ndetermined that an emergency exists or that there is a need to take action that became known subsequent to\nthe posting of the agenda. The presiding officer may hear non-agenda items at any time after the 5:00 p.m.\nmeeting is called to order.
