14. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF A THREE YEAR AGREEMENT BETWEEN EMS\nQI PARTNERS AND THE CITY OF SOUTH PASADENA ON BEHALF OF THE FIRE\nDEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATION AND QUALITY\nIMPROVEMENT SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $29,988.00 FOR THE FIRST YEAR\nAND THEREAFTER AN INCREASE OF UP TO FIVE PERCENT FOR THE SECOND\nAND THIRD YEAR\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Approve a three-year agreement between EMS QI Partners and the City of South\nPasadena on behalf of the Fire Department to provide continuing education and\n4\nquality improvement services in the amount of $29,988.00 for the first year and\nthereafter an increase of up to five percent for the second and third year, in the form\nnegotiated and approved by the City Attorney and City Manager.\n2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement and any other documents in\nsupport of the agreement.\n3. Authorize the Finance Director to amend PO25079 to $8,580.99 to cover the\nremainder of the current contract with UCLA Center for Prehospital Medicine
