20. CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A NEW EMPLOYEE\nCLASSIFICATION AND JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A BUDGET AND PURCHASING\nMANAGER; UPDATING THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND SALARY RANGE OF AN\nEXISTING CLASSIFICATION FROM ACCOUNTING MANAGER TO ACCOUNTING\nMANAGER-CONTROLLER; ADD TWO NEW POSITIONS, AN ADMINISTRATIVE\nSECRETARY IN PUBLIC WORKS AND A MANAGEMENT AIDE IN HUMAN\nRESOURCES; APPROVE THE APPROPRIATION RELATED THERETO; AND\nADOPTION OF AN UPDATED MASTER SALARY SCHEDULE\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider adoption of a Resolution to:\n1. Approve and establish the classification specification and job description for Budget\nand Purchasing Manager; and\n2. Approve the addition of one Administrative Secretary position in Public Works; and\n3. Approve the addition of one Management Aide position for Human Resources; and\n4. Approve the updated job specification and salary range for the Accounting Manager\nto Accounting Manager-Controller; and\n5. Approve the appropriation of the funding from the vacant Assistant to the City\nManager position in the City Manager's Office to fund the recommended personnel\nchanges; and\n6. Adopt the Updated Master Salary Schedule for Fiscal Years 2024-2025, in\naccordance with Title 2 of the California Code of Regulations Section 570.5 and the\nCalifornia Employees Retirement System ("CalPERS").
