A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTEREY PARK,\nCALIFORNIA, REAFFIRMING THE CITY’S ADHERENCE TO RESOLUTION 11895,\nAFFIRMING THE CITY’S COMMITMENT TO COMPLYING WITH CALIFORNIA STATE LAW\nSB 54, THE CALIFORNIA VALUES ACT, REGARDING IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT\nAND AFFIRMING THAT THE POLICIES OF THE MONTEREY PARK POLICE\nDEPARTMENT, INCLUDING POLICY 413, ARE CONSISTENT WITH SB 54 (As Requested\nby Mayor Wong)\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n(1) Adopting a Resolution reaffirming the City’s adherence to Resolution 11895, affirming the\nCity’s commitment to complying with California State Law SB 54, the California Values\nAct, regarding immigration enforcement and affirming that the policies of the Monterey\nPark Police Department, including Policy 413, are consistent with SB 54; and\n(2) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.
