3-D. FISCAL YEAR 2024 ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT (AFG) PROGRAM\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n(1) Adopting a resolution authorizing the City Manager or designee, to apply for, and\nadminister the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (“AFG”) program, including without\nlimitation, accepting and spending grant funds, with the City cost share match of\n$78,023.95, for use towards replacing the aging self-contained breathing apparatuses for\nthe Fiscal Year 2024-2025;\n(2) Supplement the City’s budget for Fiscal year 2024-2025 to appropriate monies to pay the\nCity’s cost share match, conditioned upon the City being awarded the AFG grant; and\n(3) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.
