12. CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH HORIZONS\nCONSTRUCTION COMPANY INT’L, INC. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BELL\nGARDENS FLORENCE PLACE DOG PARK AT 6937, 6941 AND 6945 EMIL AVENUE\nConsideration of a Resolution approving an agreement with Horizons Construction Company Int’l,\nInc. for the construction of a new dog park at 6937, 6941 and 6945 Emil Avenue.\nRecommendation:\nIt is staff’s recommendation that the City Council:\n1. Approve the plans and specifications for the Construction of the Bell Gardens Florence\nPlace Dog Park;\n2. Adopt the attached Resolution approving an agreement with Horizons Construction Company\nInt’l, Inc. for the construction of a new dog park for an amount not-to-exceed $239,180.62;\nand\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement and approve change orders that may\nbe necessary during construction to cover any unforeseen condition in an amount not to\nexceed 5% of the agreement amount.
