CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION NO. 23-04, CALLING A PUBLIC\nHEARING FOR METRO FISCAL YEAR 2023 FEDERAL TRANSIT\nADMINISTRATION SECTION 5310 PROGRAM FOR ELIGIBLE\nPROJECTS\nThe Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (“Metro”)\nhas opened the solicitation for proposals period for the Federal Transit\nAdministration (“FTA”) Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and\nIndividuals with Disabilities Program (“Section 5310 Program”). The Public\nHearing is a required aspect of the grant application process to certify that\nthere are no nonprofit organizations readily available in the area to provide\ntransportation services for seniors and individuals with disabilities\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council adopt\nResolution No. 23-04, calling for a public hearing on February 14, 2023 to\nidentify nonprofit organizations readily available to provide services for\npublic transportation projects under the Federal Transit Administration\nsection 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities\nProgram.
