I. Citywide Striping Maintenance Services - Award of Professional Service Agreement\nThe City of Rosemead currently has a need to address the maintenance of roadway\nstriping throughoutthe City. Roadway striping deteriorates overtime due to wear and\ntear from motorist traffic and adverse weather conditions, causing it to fade and\nbecome difficult to see, especially at night, as it loses its luminosity. To address the\nissue, staff has solicited proposals from contractors to perform annual citywide\nroadway striping maintenance services. The selected contractor will work closely\nwith Public Services staff to develop a comprehensive schedule for citywide striping.\nTo ensure the visual integrity of pavement markings throughout the City, staff\nrecommends entering into a maintenance agreement covering annual citywide\nroadway striping services for a 3 -year term. A Request for Proposals ( RFPs) was\nreleased on August 27th, 2024. Staff has conducted a comprehensive review of the\nthree proposals received. Based on the evaluation of the proposals, staff is\nrecommending Superior Pavement Markings, Inc. as the selected contractor. If\napproved, the city will enter into a Professional Services Agreement ( PSA) for a not -\nto -exceed contract amount of $ 75, 000 per fiscal year through June 30, 2027.\nRecommendation: That the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a\nProfessional Service Agreement with Superior Pavement Markings, for a total\namount, not -to -exceed $ 75, 000. 00 per fiscal year through June 30, 2027.
