17. Purchase of Grapple Truck\nRECOMMENDATION:\nThat the City Council adopts the next Resolution, in order, to:\n1. Authorize the Purchasing Agent to waive the bidding requirements in accordance\nwith El Cajon Municipal Code section 3.20.010(C)(5) and issue a sole source\nsolicitation in compliance with federal regulations;\n2. Award a purchase order in the not-to-exceed amount of $322,000 to Municipal\nMaintenance Equipment, Inc. (MMEI) contingent upon the requirements as set\nforth in the agenda report but, if conditions are not met, direct staff to rescind the\naward to MMEI; and\n3. Authorize the City Manager to approve any modifications not to exceed $100,000.
