I.13 AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE\nMORENO VALLEY CITY HALL ANNEX NUMBER 1, WATER METER/SERVICE\nCONNECTION (REPORT OF: PUBLIC WORKS)\nAuthorization to Award a Construction Contract to CEM Construction Corporation for\nthe Moreno Valley City Hall Annex Number 1, Water Meter/Service Connection,\nProject Number 803 0065 Located at 14331 Frederick Street\nRecommendation(s)\nThat the City Council:\n1. Award a construction contract to CEM Construction Corporation for the Moreno\nValley City Hall Annex Number 1, Water Meter/Service Connection Project Number\n803 0065 Located at 14331 Frederick Street; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with CEM Construction\nCorporation in the amount of $340,975.00 funded by Facility Construction (Fund\n3000); and\n3. Authorize the issuance of a Purchase Order to CEM Construction Corporation for\nthe amount of $392,121.00 ($340,975.00 bid amount plus a 15% contingency) when\nthe contract has been signed by all parties; and\n4. Authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer to execute any subsequent\nchange orders to the contract with CEM Construction Corporation up to the budget as\npreviously approved by City Council, subject to the approval of the City Attorney.\n5. Authorize a budget adjustment as set forth in the fiscal impact section of this\nreport.
