I.18 AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE PERRIS\nBOULEVARD SIGNALIZED INTERSECTION SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT\n(REPORT OF: PUBLIC WORKS)\nAuthorization to Award a Highway Safety Improvement Program Construction\nContract to Crosstown Electrical & Data, Inc. for the Perris Boulevard Signalized\nIntersection Safety Improvements Project Number 808 0037\nRecommendation(s)\nThat the City Council:\n1. Approve a Highway Safety Improvement construction contract to Crosstown\nElectrical & Data, Inc. for the Perris Boulevard Signalized Intersection Safety\nImprovements Project Number 808 0037; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Crosstown Electrical & Data,\n8\nInc. in the amount of $451,752.00 ($411,752.00 bid amount plus $40,000.00\ncontingency), funded by Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Grant Funds\n(Fund 2301) and State Gas Tax Funds (Fund 2000); and\n3. Authorize the issuance of a Purchase Order to Crosstown Electrical & Data, Inc.\nfor the amount of $451,752.00 when the contract has been signed by all parties; and\n4. Authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer to execute any subsequent\nrelated change orders to the contract with Crosstown Electrical & Data, Inc. up the\ncontingency amount, subject to the approval of the City Attorney.
