E. CITY COUNCIL REORGANIZATION\nPursuant to Government Code provisions, following an election, the City\nCouncil must take action to select a mayor and vice mayor. The terms of the\ncurrent mayor and vice mayor may be extended to coincide with non-election\nyear reorganization timing, or reorganization may proceed at this meeting.\nThere is no fiscal impact related to this item.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council extend the terms of Mayor Wu and Vice\nMayor Menchaca to the April 1, 2025, City Council meeting.\nAlternatively, the City Council may direct the Chief City Clerk to proceed with\nthe City Council Reorganization at this time.
