23. CONSIDERATION OF AN AWARD OF A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH CT&T\nCONCRETE PAVING, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $ 525,000 FOR THE\nSIDEWALK REPLACEMENT & ADA RAMPS PROJECT; APPROPRIATE $50,822 OF\nADDITIONAL CDBG FUNDS TO MAXIMIZE UTILIZATION OF THE COMMUNITY\nDEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT; APPROPRIATE $45,000 FROM MEASURE M FOR\nTHE CITY'S LEVERAGED MATCH; AND APPROVE THE PLANS AND\nSPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PROJECT\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n1. Approving the plans and specifications for the Sidewalk Replacement & American\nDisability Act (ADA) Ramps Project (Project); and\n2. Adjusting the Project budget as necessary to maximize the use of $564,663 in\navailable Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, including\nappropriation of $50,822 of additional CDBG funds to the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-\n2025 Council adopted Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project budget of\n$513,841; and\n3. Approving the appropriation of $45,000 from Los Angeles County Metro Measure M\nLocal Return Fund 236 to CIP Project Account No. 400-9000-9008-9264-000, as\nthe City's leveraged (matching) funds;\n4. Awarding a construction contract to CT&T Concrete Paving, Inc. for construction\nservices for sidewalk and ramp improvements in an amount not to exceed\n$525,000.00, including the proposed bid amount of $312,065.50 and a contingency\nof $212,934.50; and\n5. Reject all other bids received; and\n6\n6. Authorize the City Manager to execute the contract .
