25. CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO AMEND THE ZONING\nORDINANCE TO DISSOLVE THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD AND REDIRECT\nAUTHORITY FOR DESIGN REVIEW AS APPROPRIATE; AND FURTHER\nDISCUSSION TO PROVIDE DIRECTION ON RECONFIGURING THE MOBILITY AND\nTRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE, PUBLIC WORKS, AND NATURAL\nRESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSIONS\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Consider the analysis provided pursuant to Council’s June 18, 2024, request to staff\nto explore amending the South Pasadena Zoning Code to dissolve the Design\nReview Board and redirect authority for the design review process as appropriate;\nand,\n2. Adopt the draft Resolution of Intention to amend the Zoning Code to dissolve the\nDRB and redistribute design review authority; and\n3. Direct Public Works staff to prepare an amendment to the South Pasadena\nMunicipal Code (SPMC) to consolidate the Mobility and Transportation\nInfrastructure Commission (MTIC) and Public Works Commission (PWC) into one\ncommission, pursuant to Council’s June 18, 2024, discussion and to maintain the\nNatural Resources and Environmental Commission (NREC), reducing its size to five\nmembers and reducing its meeting frequency to every other month.\nINFORMATIONAL REPORTS
