5-C. EMERGENCY REPLACEMENT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SELF-CONTAINED\nBREATHING APPARATUS (SCBAS) – ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY\nMANAGER TO EXECUTE NECESSARY AGREEMENTS, WITHOUT THE NEED FOR\nCOMPETITIVE BIDDING TO PURCHASE THE SCBA REPLACEMENTS\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n(1) Adopt a resolution ratifying the City Manager’s proclamation of local emergency dated\nDecember 11, 2024 concerning the replacement of Fire Department Self-Contained\nBreathing Apparatus (“SCBAs”) and authorizing the City Manager to execute necessary\nAgreements, without the need for competitive bidding to purchase the SCBA\nreplacements;\n(2) Appropriating $635,000 to the FY 2024-2025 Budget from the General Fund for the project;\nand\n(3) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.
