I.10 AUTHORIZE RENEWAL APPLICATION AND ACCEPT FUNDING FOR AFTER\nSCHOOL EDUCATION AND SAFETY (ASES) GRANT FOR FISCAL YEARS\n2025/26 THROUGH 2027/28 (REPORT OF: PARKS AND COMMUNITY SERVICES)\nAuthorize Renewal Application and Accept Funding For After School Education and\nSafety (ASES) Grant For Fiscal Years 2025/26 through 2027/28.\nRecommendation(s)\nThat the City Council and CSD:\n1. Authorize the submission of a renewal application and accept funding for After\nSchool Education and Safety (ASES) Grant funds from California Department of\nEducation (CDE) for fiscal years 2025/26 through 2027/28; and\n2. Upon approval of the application, authorize acceptance of ASES funding in the\napproved amount and any subsequent amendments for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-26\nfrom the California Department of Education (CDE) Expanded Learning Office for the\npurpose of providing after school services and authorize the Chief Financial Officer\n(CFO) or its designee to make modifications to the revenue and expenditure budget\n4\nwhich will be net neutral, based on the final contract amount (which could be more of\nless than estimated).
