11.j APPROVAL OF SPECIAL EVENT LONG-TERM AGREEMENTS - 25- 761\nCR-004\nCEQA: Approval of the proposed long-term agreements would be\nexempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant\nto CEQA Guidelines section 15304. The long-term agreements permit\nevents which are a minor, temporary use of land in the form of a beach\nvolleyball tournament and fundraising event. These types of temporary\nevents will have negligible or no permanent effect on the environment.\n(Community Resources Director Lisa Nichols)\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends City Council:\n1. Approve two long-term agreements with each of the following\nPage 5 of 1535\norganizations for the following events for the stated calendar\nyear(s):\n• Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) for the AVP\nJunior National Championships in 2025; and\n• Indivisible Arts for State of the Art in 2025 through 2027;\nand\n2. Authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute and the City\nClerk to attest to each long-term agreement, subject to approval\nby the City Attorney.
