SUBJECT: FISCAL YEAR 2022/2023 COMMUNITY ACTIVITY GRANT IN-KIND\nREQUESTS & COMMUNITY ACTIVITY GRANT PROGRAM GUIDELINES &\nFUNDING LEVELS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023/24\nRECOMMENDATION: That City Council:\n1. Review and consider the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022/2023 Community Activity Grant\n(CAG) Application submitted by the Yucaipa Valley Lions Club requesting $324 for\nin-kind support to waive the rental fees for the Community Center Meeting Room to\nhold monthly board meetings through June 2023; and\n2. Review and consider the FY 2022/2023 CAG Application submitted by the Yucaipa\nEquestrian Committee requesting $2,125 for in-kind support to waive the rental fees\nfor the Yucaipa Performing Arts Center (YPAC) to hold the 2023 Rodeo Queens\nCoronation Dinner & Dance; and\n3. Determine that the Yucaipa Equestrian Committee should be exempt from the CAG\nGuideline that prohibits the programming for and rental of the YPAC, if their CAG\nis awarded; and\n4. Review the CAG program guideline options and provide direction as appropriate;\nand\n5. Provide direction on the appropriate Fiscal Year 2023/2024 funding levels for in-\nkind/fee waiver grants, $40,000 currently, and financial grants, $17,500 currently, or\nadjust the funding levels as deemed appropriate.
