20. Award a Construction Contract to Aguilar & Calderon Corporation for the Sidewalk\nReplacement Project FY 2425 (No. 256029) (NonGeneral Fund)\nDepartment(s): Public Works Agency\nRecommended Action: 1. Approve an amendment to the Fiscal Year 20242025\nCapital Improvement Program to include $1,000,000 in construction funds for the\nSidewalk Replacement Project FY 2425 (No. 256029).\n2. Approve the Project Cost Analysis for a total estimated construction delivery cost of\n$1,000,000, which includes $731,255 for the construction contract, $85,932 for\ncontract administration, inspection, and testing, $73,126 project contingency for\nunanticipated or unforeseen work due to the complexity and extensive scope of this\nproject, and $109,687 for additional work for contract change orders needed to\nreduce the City’s sidewalk repairs backlog.\n3. Award a construction contract to Aguilar & Calderon Corporation, the lowest\nresponsible bidder, in accordance with the base bid and bid alternates in the amount\nof $731,255, subject to changePage 11 for construction of the Sidewalk 1/21/2025\norders, Replacement\nProject FY 2425 Project (No. 256029), for a term beginning January 21, 2025 and\nending upon project completion, and authorize the City Manager to execute the\nunanticipated or unforeseen work due to the complexity and extensive scope of this\nproject, and $109,687 for additional work for contract change orders needed to\nreduce the City’s sidewalk repairs backlog.\n3. Award a construction contract to Aguilar & Calderon Corporation, the lowest\nresponsible bidder, in accordance with the base bid and bid alternates in the amount\nof $731,255, subject to change orders, for construction of the Sidewalk Replacement\nProject FY 2425 Project (No. 256029), for a term beginning January 21, 2025 and\nending upon project completion, and authorize the City Manager to execute the\ncontract.\n4. Determine that pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act the\nrecommended actions are exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption\nEnvironmental Review No. ER2024102 was filed for Project No. 256029.
