10.1 THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE SECURITY SERVICES AGREEMENT\nComments:\nThe current security services agreement expires on January 31, 2025. During it's current\nRFP selection process to approve a new services provider, the City Council expressed its\ninterest in further reviewing received proposals This request pushes the decision making\nprocess for selecting the new provider past the expiration of the current security services\nagreement. Staff is requesting approval of a Third Amendment extension to allow the City\nsufficient time to reconsider the selection of a service provider, make a recommendation\nto the City Council and then a transition period into the next selected provider. (REC)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled; “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING\nTHE MAYOR OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE, IN A FORM SATISFACTORY TO THE\nCITY ATTORNEY, THE THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE SECURITY SERVICES\nAGREEMENT WITH PROFESSIONAL SECURITY CONSULTANTS TO CONTINUE TO\nPROVIDE THE SECURITY SERVICES FOR UP TO NINE (9) ADDITIONAL MONTHS”.
