First Reading of an Ordinance Amending El Segundo Municipal Code Title\n1 (Administration and Personnel) Chapters 7 (Purchasing), 7A (Execution\nof Contracts), and 7C (Public Works Contracts) to Increase Staff and\nManagement's Procurement and Signature Authority and Adjust\nProcurement Thresholds Consistent with California Assembly Bill 2192\nRecommendation -\n1. Read by title only and introduce the proposed ordinance amending El\nSegundo Municipal Code Title 1 (Administration and Personnel)\nChapters 7(Purchasing), 7A (Execution of Contracts), and 7C (Public\nWorks Contracts) to increase staff and management's procurement and\nsignature authority and adjust procurement thresholds consistent with\nCalifornia Assembly Bill 2192 and find that such actions are exempt from\nthe California Environmental Quality Act, pursuant to Guidelines §§\n15060(c)(3), 15061(b)(3), and 15378.\n2. Direct staff to schedule a second reading of the ordinance for the regular\nFebruary 4, 2025, City Council meeting or as soon thereafter it may be\nconsidered.\n3. Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.
