9B. PROPOSED RESOLUTION TERMINATING THE LOCAL EMERGENCY DECLARED\nBY THE CITY AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND RESCINDING\nCOVID-19 RELATED EMERGENCY MEASURES ADOPTED BY THE CITY\nPursuant to state law and the City of Stanton’s (“City”) Municipal Code, the City\nproclaimed a local emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The City\nCouncil will consider adopting a resolution terminating its COVID-19 local emergency\nand clarify existing emergency measures issued by the City in response to the COVID-\n19 pandemic that shall automatically expire following the termination of the local\nemergency.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council in accordance with the requirements of California Environmental Quality\nAct (“CEQA”), declare that the project is exempt pursuant to Sections 15378 and\nSection 15061(b)(3) of the State CEQA Guidelines (Title 14 of the California Code of\nRegulations); and\n2. Declare an end to the City’s COVID-19 local emergency by adopting Resolution No.\n2023-05, titled:\n“A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STANTON,\nCALIFORNIA, TERMINATING THE CITY’S LOCAL EMERGENCY\nDECLARED BY THE CITY AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19\nPANDEMIC AND RESCINDING COVID-19 RELATED EMERGENCY\nMEASURES ADOPTED BY THE CITY”.
