9) CONSIDERATION TO AUTHORIZE THE SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE\nCALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL – CANNABIS TAX FUND GRANT PROGRAM TO SUPPORT\nSELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT DETAILS\nRecommend that the City Council authorize the preparation and submittal of a grant\napplication for an amount up to $250,000 from the California Highway Patrol for the Cannabis\nTax Fund Grant Program for the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 to help address the dangers of impaired\ndriving involving alcohol and/or drugs.
