Agenda Item A

12A. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PROVISIONS OF STANTON MUNICIPAL CODE\nCHAPTER 2.32 OF TITLE 2 REGARDING THE PARKS, RECREATION AND\nCOMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION\nThe City Council recently directed staff to bring back an ordinance that fixed the number\nof Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commissioners from seven members, to\nfive members. The proposed ordinance implements that change and also proposes\nrenaming the Commission to the “Community Services Commission.”\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. Where it can be seen with certainty that there\nis no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the\nenvironment, the activity is not subject to CEQA; and\n2. Introduce Ordinance No. 1159, entitled:\n“AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STANTON,\nCALIFORNIA AMENDING CHAPTER 2.32 OF TITLE 2 OF THE STANTON\nMUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING THE PARKS, RECREATION, AND\nCOMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION’S NAME, NUMBER, AND\nAPPOINTMENT PROCESS”; and\n3.
