CITY COUNCIL INITIATED ITEM — DISCUSSION REGARDING COMMUNITY\nDEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT PROCEDURES\nAt the January 14, 2025, City Council meeting, Mayor Shawver requested that this item\nbe agendized for discussion. Mayor Shawver is requesting to discuss methods in which\nthe City Council can assist the Planning Department in serving the City’s businesses and\nresidents in expediting process times for applications and streamlining all phases of\nCommunity Development by either increasing the number of personnel and/or\nsubcontracting out a variety of the department’s needs.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council provide direction to staff.\nJanuary 28, 2025
