1. AWARD OF THE GREENVILLE-BANNING CHANNEL 25-147\nHYDRODYNAMIC SEPARATOR (HDS) INSTALLATION PROJECT,\nCITY PROJECT NO. 25-02\nRECOMMENDATION:\nStaff recommends the City Council:\n1. Make a finding of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) categorical\nexemption pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 and adopt plans,\nspecifications, and working details for the Greenville-Banning Channel\nHydrodynamic Separator (HDS) Installation Project, City Project No. 25-02.\n2. Award a Public Works Agreement (PWA) for construction to the Zusser\nCompany, Inc., 528 Palisades Drive, Suite 504, Los Angeles, California\n90272 in the amount of $811,750 (base bid and additive bid) and authorize\nan additional ten percent (10%) contingency, in the amount of $81,175 for\nconstruction, as needed, for any unforeseen costs related to this project.\n3. Authorize the City Manager and City Clerk to execute the PWA with the\nZusser Company, Inc., and future amendments to the agreements within\nCouncil authorized limits.\n4. Authorize $270,280 from the Westside Storm Drain Improvements Project\n(550022) to supplement the remaining costs of this project.\nENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION:\nThe proposed action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act\n(CEQA). The action involves an organizational or administrative activity of\ngovernment that will not result in the direct or indirect physical change in the\nenvironment. In addition, the proposed action is exempt under Section 15301\nrelating to the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, and/or minor alteration\nof existing public facilities.\nAttachments: 1.
