C. ACCEPTANCE OF CONGRESSIONAL GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $225,000\nFOR EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER UPGRADES\n[RESOLUTION NO. 25-06]\nThe City of San Gabriel has been awarded grant funds from Congresswoman\nJudy Chu in the amount of $225,000 to be used to update and make structural\nrepairs to the Emergency Operations Center. The project scope includes\nmodernization of existing equipment, installation of new communication\nsystems, and structural upgrades to enhance facility functionality. The grant\naward of $225,000 requires a match of $75,000, making the total amount\navailable to expend $300,000.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 25-06 to approve\nthe following:\n1. Amend the estimated revenue (account 186-3225) and appropriation\n(transfers out) in Other Grants Fund by $225,000 and increase estimated\nrevenue (transfers in) and appropriation in Capital/Special Projects Funds\n(account 124-761-57-99-380) by $225,000 and appropriation in the Trust\nFund (account 171-761-11-99-382) by $75,000.\n2. Authorize the Fire Chief or designee to accept the grant and purchase the\nitems and services needed to complete the project under the City’s\npurchasing policy.\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute the subrecipient agreement between\nthe City and the State of California.
