6. City Council: Staff recommends that the City Council approve a 24-440\npurchase order, in an amount not to exceed $237,031, for\nevent protection barriers to be used for various City events\nand approve a Professional Services Agreement (PSA)\nwith Meridian Rapid Defense Group LLC (“Meridian”) to\ndeploy the event protection barriers in the amount of\n$117,000; authorize the Financial Services Director, or\ndesignee, to execute the purchase order; authorize the City\nManager to execute the agreement upon receipt of all final\ndocuments; authorize the City Manager to purchase\nadditional protection barriers and amend the PSA as\nneeded by an additional $708,062 within six months of\ninitial City Council approval, for a total amount not to\nexceed $1,062,093; and appropriate $575,709 from\nGeneral Fund Assigned Infrastructure Reserves as needed\nfor the additional purchase.
