9. NOTICE INVITING BIDS: ROOF REPLACEMENT AT ALHAMBRA FIRE\nDEPARTMENT STATION 74 – F2M24-36, N2M25-15\nThe roof at the Fire Department Station 74, located at 2505 W. Norwood Place, is over 20\nyears old. An emergency repair to the flat roof was done last year which consisted of\ncleaning and applying a polyurethane foam to seal. Water stains on the wall have been\nobserved and there are also multiple broken tiles in the valleys of the roof. The\nrecommendation is to remove the existing roof and underlayment, repair any damaged\ndecking and replace with tile roofing. Specifications have been prepared and will be\nincluded in the advertised notice of inviting bids.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize staff to issue a Notice Inviting Bids to\nprospective contractors for roof replacement at the Alhambra Fire Department, Station 74,\nwith bids due no later than 10:30 a.m. on March 13, 2025 and opened on 11:00 a.m. that\nsame day; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize the Council’s\naction.
