6. FY 2024 U.S. Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial\nJustice Assistance Grant (JAG) Award\nRECOMMENDATION:\nThat the City Council takes the following actions:\n1. Authorizes the City Manager, or designee, to accept the FY\n2024 U.S. Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial\nJustice Assistance Grant (JAG) in the amount of $34,792 and\nto execute any grant documents and agreements necessary\nfor the receipt and use of these funds; and\n2. Appropriates $34,792 of the FY 2024 U.S. Department of\nJustice JAG Grant for the purchase of equipment related to\nthe Real Time Crime Center (RTCC).
