MAYOR’S APPOINTMENTS TO INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES – LA\nMETRO REGIONAL SERVICE COUNCIL\nThe Mayor is responsible for appointing members of the City Council to serve\non various local and regional committees and organization boards, as well as\nliaisons for City initiatives. Due to a vacancy created by the departure of former\nCouncil Member John Harrington, it is necessary for the Council to take action\nto nominate a member to replace a vacancy on the Metro San Gabriel Valley\nService Council. There is no fiscal impact related to this item.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council approve Mayor John Wu’s request for\nnomination as San Gabriel Valley representative for Metro’s Regional Service\nCouncil.
