A. ACCEPTANCE OF VISIONING WORKSHOP REPORT AND APPROVAL OF\nCONTRACT WITH ARTS CONSULTING GROUP FOR A MISSION\nPLAYHOUSE STRATEGIC PLAN IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $46,000\nIn November 2024, the City worked with Arts Consulting Group to conduct a\nstrategic visioning workshop for the Mission Playhouse. Included in this report\nis a summary of the workshop findings and key recommendations for moving\nforward. The workshop included a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and\nThreats analysis and brought to light the Mission Playhouse’s strengths and\nchallenges. Those present also established the Playhouse’s core values\nincluding community connection and engagement, arts and culture\nappreciation, and historic preservation. Finally, key priorities were agreed upon.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1) Accept the Visioning Workshop Report as submitted;\n2) Approve a contract with Arts Consulting Group to conduct the Mission\nPlayhouse Comprehensive Strategic Plan;\n3) Utilizing the City’s standard consultant contract, authorize the City Manager\nto execute the contract and any other necessary documents pending review\nand approval by the City Attorney;\n4) Designate one City Councilmember to serve as the lead Council contact for\nthis planning process; and\n5) Adopt Resolution No. 25-10 appropriating $46,000 from the City’s General\nFund into account #124-712-35-96-820 for Mission Playhouse Strategic\nPlan
