3. AMENDING CHAPTER 5 AND CHAPTER 6 OF TITLE 4 OF THE BEVERLY HILLS MUNICIPAL\nCODE REGARDING EVICTIONS. (First Reading – for Introduction)\nComment: The City Council directed staff to return to the City Council with an ordinance reflecting the\ndirection of the City Council at its December 13, 2022 meeting. This Ordinance removes the provision\nfrom Chapter 5 (BHMC Section 4-5-512) and Chapter 6 (BHMC Section 4-6-6 K) that allows a landlord to\nevict a tenant for major remodeling. This Ordinance would prohibit a landlord from evicting a tenant for\nmajor remodeling.
