14. COMMERCIAL STREET IMPROVEMENTS FOR SPRINGDALE AVENUE,\nWAKEMAN STREET AND JOHN STREET – AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE\nFOR CONSTRUCTION BIDS (PUBLIC WORKS)\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1) Approve the Plans and Specifications for the Commercial Street Improvements\nfor Springdale Avenue, Wakeman Street and John Street Project; and\n2) Authorize the City Engineer to advertise for construction bids; and\n3) Authorize the City Manager to execute Task Order No. 93 with Southstar\nEngineering, Inc., for On-Call Professional Engineering Services for Construction\nManagement and Inspection Services in the amount of $108,000; and\n4) Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Exemption for the subject project with\nthe Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder; and\n5) Take such additional, related action that may be desirable.
