16. Records Payment and Processing System and Related Services Sole\nSource Contract\nRecommendation: Authorize the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk to execute a\nSole Source contract with LexisNexis VitalChek Network, Inc., for a records\npayment and processing system and related services, for a period of five base\nyears, with two one-year and six month-to-month extensions options, for a\nmaximum term of seven years and six months; prepare and execute future\namendments to exercise the extension options; and authorize the\nRegistrar-Recorder/County Clerk to take the following actions:\n(Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk) APPROVE (NOTE: The Chief\nInformation Officer recommends approval of this item.)\nPrepare and execute future amendments to the contract as needed to\nreflect changes resulting from new legislation or changes to County\npolicy terms and conditions, reflect changes in State and County\nlegislation, modify the statement of work to meet operational needs, or\nmake any other necessary changes which do not materially alter any\nterm or condition of the contract;\nPrepare and execute future amendments to increase transaction fees in\nExhibit B (Pricing Schedule) per Paragraph 5.0 of the contract; and\nTerminate the contract in whole or in part as necessary.
